Reception class children were VERY excited when they arrived at school last Wednesday morning to discover that the eggs had hatched! The chicks remained in the incubator until their wet feathers had fluffed up and dried out, then we transferred them to the container with a heat lamp. They like to huddle together when they rest, and they are eating lots of chick food as they are growing so fast!
