As part of our current theme 'Growing and Changing', the children in Holly and Cherry class have had a very exciting week! They planted cress seeds and watched closely as the teeny tiny seeds grew in just a few days! Then they planted sunflower seeds, which will take a bit longer than the cress to shoot up! And yesterday our chicks hatched from their eggs. This is providing lots of opportunities for writing for purpose. We have an 'egg-cam' linked to the chicks heat box so all the other classes can share this wonderful opportunity, as we observe how the chicks change over a short length of time. We have been very busy in Reception class!
