Kings and Queens
As part of our current theme, Holly and Cherry children enjoyed a day being 'Kings and Queens'. The children came to school dressed in their finest clothes, ready for a day of all things Royal!
The day started off with making their own sandwich for The Garden Party (cheese and/or cucumber). Then making and decorating a crown.
Then they decorated the 'table cloth', inspired by royal images and regal music.
The children then rehearsed a dance routine to The National Anthem, and then performed it to their guests, ending the routine (of course) with a curtsey or a bow! (Thank you to Mrs Fasulo for choreographing and leading this!)
To end the day, a very charming Garden Party was held, where the children could discuss the events of their day of royalty whilst enjoying their sandwiches.
We also took flowers to the statue of Mary in our Prayer Garden to observe May being the month of Mary.
Phew...very busy, but we all had a fabulous day!
