The children have loved their reading sessions. Children start their reading on a wordless book and then once they are secure with blending, they progress to worded books. Wordless books help us to teach the fundamentals of reading. For example, holding their book the correct way round, opening their book and turning the pages in the correct direction. These reading sessions encourage and support communication and language and enrich children's vocabulary.
