Yes! The new netbooks have been set and and we’re ready for us to use this week for the first time… Oh what excitement! We’ve started to learn about how to effectively research topics and how to present our findings clearly on PowerPoint. We’ve also started to explore how to insert images and place these behind text so that we can clearly see our writing. As you can see from the cover photo, we’ve very much enjoyed doing this and have learnt a lot.
We have also spent this week learning about the features of persuasive writing ready for a ‘big write’ tomorrow. The children were able to identity adjectives, adverbs, coordinating conjunctions, subordinating conjunctions, emotive language (go on, tug on those heartstrings!), exclamations, adverbials, hyperbole… The list goes on!
We’ve also hung our Christmas wishes on our very own class Christmas tree and have started to explore the Jesse Tree tradition which explores the Old Testament and Jesus’s family tree up until His birth. The children have enjoyed being able to contribute to this and the reflections have certainly brought out some fantastic questions and wonderings.
Finally, we’ve started to get acquaint with the new table tennis tables. What a week for appreciation of new things!
Homework as normal is on Teams and My Maths. If have any issues with logging in, please ask us before the due date. Continue with TTRS – we were in the lead at one point this week – let’s see if we can get there again!
