Sparkle and Shiiiine!
And so the Advent countdown to Christmas begins! We spent this morning creating all kinds of decor including elves, Christmas trees, snowmen and Father Christmases and have finished preparing our Jesse Tree decorations ready to go on our class tree next week as we delve into the Old Testament in preparation for the coming of our Messiah! (Phew, that was a long sentence!)
We've also started reading our new class book, 'Arthur and the Golden Rope' and learning all sorts of new writing skills ready to include them in our very own adventure stories. We've continued to work on our note taking, focusing in particular on key words. In DT, we explored different board games ready for next week when we will design our own and make them out of rubbish. This is part of our Skills Builder programme; the project is called 'From Trash to Treasure'.
Our COP26 display also went up next week and has lots of posters and letters up on display alongside what we are thankful for about our planet alongside promises that we have made so that we care for our planet as it deserves.
Our absolute highlight, however, has to be our first Mass in church for a VERY long time! We went as a phase and they behaved angelically. They sung beautifully and even kept going through noticing the snow through the window during the closing hymn!
Two weeks to go... and a very busy two weeks it shall be! Watch this space...
