Our Christmas Wishes
Every year each child at St Louis creates a Christmas Wish to hang on the Christmas tree. This year Acorns class looked at a picture of a child who is living in poverty in Africa. We talked about some of the privileges we have in our lives and what we would wish for this child at Christmas. The children really engaged with this and had some thoughtful ideas: water to drink, a cosy bed, taps, shoes and a river amongst other suggestions. We were then joined by some of our friends in Year 6 who helped the children to write their wish for the child and to decorate the wish. All the children in both year groups enjoyed this shared activity, and we are delighted with the results! A big thank you to Mrs Feehan, Ms Spratt, Mrs De Souza and the Year 6 students who came along for making this first Christmas Wish experience so meaningful and enjoyable for our very youngest members of our school.
