Cress Seed Cups
The children in Acorns planted cress seeds. They used plastic cups (which they had decorated using a strip of paper), placed some cotton wool in the base, sprinkled some cress seeds in and poured in a little water (great for fine motor skills!) The seeds cracked open after 2 days to reveal the tiny shoots. The children were excited to check, water and compare the growth of their seeds every day.
This activity ties in with our RE topic 'New Life' and we thank God for all the beautiful flowers, plants and baby animals during Spring time.
