Science Week!
Rowan have just enjoyed their science week. We have been immersed in scientific learning and enquiry. We have spoken to a Geologist, a Chemist, a Biomedical Scientist and a Snacks Flavourist. The children were inspired and full of questions.
The week finished with the 'Operation Moonbase' project. The children used their problem-solving, leadership and collaboration skills to determine how we could build a new society on the moon, then we used our design and technology skills to create our new Utopia and imagine the alien animals we would need to help us settle in.
Our final treat was an assembly, brought to us by Quasar Chris (not Quaver Crisps!) from Mad Science. He awed and amazed us with his presentation of how air moves and how this can be used to move other objects around it.
This is Mrs Hodson's favourite week of the year and it looks like the children have thoroughly enjoyed it too!
