We have been busy!
The children have been very busy this term learning about what it means to be a scientist. Amongst other things, the children loved watching the chicks hatch and grow and were very sad when they went to their new homes. Luckily we will be able to follow the chick's progress as they all went to families from within school. The children were also fascinated by the caterpillars as they grew fatter and longer, created a little cocoon around themselves and then we waited and waited and waited...until finally the first butterfly emerged and we saw its' colourful wings. Wow! This was a magical moment. The butterflies were reluctant to leave the safety of their net but when the sun made an appearance this week Mrs Parker carefully helped on them on their way to great outdoors.
The children have enjoyed having their families in school for our Stay and Play sessions and also during our Mass last week with Father Leo. Thank you for your continued support during these events as we begin to welcome you back into school after the last couple of years of restrictions. There will be many more occasions during the summer term when we hope you can join us for different events.
We hope that you have a well deserved rest over the Easter holidays and we look forward to welcoming you back in a few weeks, refreshed and raring to go.
