Mud, Mini-beasts and Mark Making!
Holly class had their first Forest School session this week. They enjoyed exploring in the woodland, taking part in lots of activities including mud mark making with sticks and paintbrushes, mud kitchen, persevering with the skills involved with getting in (and out!) of a hammock and looking for mini-beasts. When they found some mini-beats, the children carefully placed them into bug pots with a magnifying glass and used pictures cards to identify what they were. Cherry class are looking forward to their first session next week!
Lots of fun can be had with big sheets of cardboard! Some children enjoyed large scale mark making, great for physical development, communication and developing new friendships.
