Our beautiful butterflies emerged into the world and delighted the children. When we talked to the children about releasing the butterflies, one of the children suggested we do so in the Prayer Garden. So that is exactly what we did. The butterflies were quite reluctant to leave the security of the netted bag but with some gentle persuasion they were off! One butterfly really did not want to leave the children and flew around their heads, landing on the leaves and grass nearby which provided perfect opportunity for getting a closer look at the beautiful colours on their wings. And so the lifecycle of the butterfly will continue when they find a leaf to lay their precious eggs...
