We have had a very busy day in the St Louis Prayer Garden to launch our Lifecycles theme for the Summer term. Mrs Blakeley was a little sad because the Prayer Garden was looking a little neglected and needed some TLC so Cherry and Holly class came to the rescue.
We spent a day weeding, clearing the borders, tidying and planting. The children worked in small teams and were challenged to see who could pick the most weeds. Oh my word, we are so proud of their efforts! The children worked so hard and so well together and managed to fill two brown bins with garden waste. The children also enthusiastically helped the adults to plant new life into the Prayer Garden and now Mrs Blakeley is no longer feeling sad, she is over the moon with how smart and tidy the Prayer Garden looks. As you come and go through the school gates over the coming days make sure to have a look over the fence and appreciate your child's hard work. We are looking forward to seeing the new plants blossom and grow over the coming weeks and months.
We will be immersing the children in 'Lifecycles' this term so be sure to watch this space for more exciting learning activities that have been enjoyed in school.
